Experienced digital marketers · Licensed or ready to get licensed
01 / WHY BUILD AROUND INSURANCE?
Families need protection. Employers need benefits. Insurance serves needs that outlast a trending product—and the ways people discover, understand and buy it continue to evolve.
Bring your digital skills to that change: make information clearer, connect with a defined audience and build better follow-up. Develop your own brand and client relationships, with qualifying renewal income under carrier agreements. We help you learn the insurance products, processes and marketing rules.
Lasting demand. Serve families and employers with real protection needs.
Room to improve. Build a better path from discovery to an informed insurance conversation.
A business you develop. Your brand, client relationships and carrier-specific renewal opportunities.
This is a commission-based, 1099 insurance business opportunity. Licensed participants sell insurance under applicable appointments and contracts. You fund and operate your marketing; this is not a salaried marketing role or a paid marketing-service contract.
THE OPPORTUNITY IN ONE VIEW
You bring the initiative.
We bring the insurance operation.
TRAINING YOU CAN PUT TO WORK
You bring the ambition. We help you build the insurance knowledge and habits behind a lasting business. Leadership members bring more than 20 years of industry experience—and we keep investing in how our people learn.
Knowledge Library is the online training platform we own. Access lessons and resources on insurance, sales, marketing and building an agency, with training selected for your path. Come back to it as you put what you learn into practice.
We help you access the best available training from the carriers you work with. Learn their products, applications and processes directly, alongside our practical guidance. Access depends on your carrier relationship and appointment.
Our Monday Quick 15 discussions bring agents and partners together around practical sales and marketing ideas. Work through follow-up, business-owner conversations and the habits that help you keep building through good seasons and difficult ones.
Training is part of the opportunity. Your onboarding conversation will establish which courses and carrier resources apply to you. Required licensing, appointment and contracting come before selling.
02 / WHAT WE BRING TO THE TABLE
Build with an operation that has a physical presence, experienced leadership and staff to help with the work behind the sale.
Bring your marketing expertise. Learn the insurance side through Knowledge Library, carrier training and practical product discussions. Then connect what you learn to your own sales system.
We provide data lists to support business development. Discuss available lists, permitted uses and outreach practices with the team.
Staff supports underwriting and customer questions after the sale. For B2B, administrative support includes enrollment coordination and backend servicing, at no cost to you.
Indiana Agency maintains a brick-and-mortar office in Indiana. Meet the people behind the opportunity and discuss how you can use the office.
Individual members of our leadership have more than 20 years of insurance industry experience. Learn from people who have worked through the good seasons, the difficult cases and the decisions that build a lasting practice.
We recommend HubSpot as your CRM. Choose a setup that fits your follow-up process, reporting needs and budget.
TWO WAYS TO BUILD
Start with the market that fits your strengths. Carrier and product selection is discussed individually around your plan.
B2C / INDIVIDUALS & FAMILIES
You attract the client, understand their needs and, once licensed and appointed, write appropriate coverage. You can also discuss partnering with a closer and splitting commissions.
B2B / EMPLOYEE BENEFITS
You work with the business owner to introduce an employee benefits opportunity. Professional enrollers handle employee enrollment, supported by administrative coordination and backend servicing.
You can explore a partnership with a closer and split commissions while you build confidence, or continue with that arrangement. Responsibilities, licensing requirements and the split are agreed before business is written.
03 / BRING PRACTICAL DIGITAL KNOWLEDGE
We invest in AI and ChatGPT advertising, have run Facebook and Google ads, and keep looking for people who understand these systems from hands-on experience.
Develop content, campaigns and landing pages that lead to a clear next step. Bring your knowledge of the channels you understand best.
Use your CRM and thoughtful automation to keep inquiries organized, schedule conversations and follow through with clients.
Test messages and processes. Track meaningful outcomes and costs, then use what you learn to improve your approach.
Our investment in these channels does not mean a personal advertising budget, software subscription or guaranteed leads are included. Discuss resources and expenses before starting.
GROW THROUGH RESULTS & RELATIONSHIPS
Build your brand and client relationships through marketing, sales and good service. Opportunities to add markets and insurance income streams are reviewed as you demonstrate results and quality business.
Renewal commission rights vest under each carrier’s rules. Vesting may be immediate, three years or longer. Review the applicable agreements for renewal, servicing and departure terms.
Team-building and qualifying overrides are available through individual review. We look for people who work well with others, communicate respectfully, follow through and put clients on the board.
Growth is earned through sales results, customer service and quality business. Additional markets and team opportunities are not automatic.
Beyond commissions and bonuses, qualifying carrier programs may offer benefits, carrier-paid trips and networking events. Eligibility and covered expenses vary by program.
FROM YOUR EXPERIENCE TO YOUR FIRST LAUNCH
Share your audience, campaigns, online store or sales system—and what results it produced. We look for skills you already know how to use.
Review fit, B2C or B2B, products and agreements. Complete required licensing, contracting and appointments before selling.
You explain your system. We discuss insurance advertising rules and review content with you against carrier and platform requirements.
Fund and run your campaign, follow up and serve clients. Track sales, costs and business quality; improve your approach as you learn.
YOUR INVESTMENT
You invest in your business. We do not require you to purchase third-party internet leads; we work with you to develop your own lead system.
Other operating expenses may apply, including E&O, continuing education and license renewals. Requirements depend on your arrangement. We recommend E&O; discuss requirements and pricing before starting.
AN ESTABLISHED INDUSTRY, EVOLVING DISTRIBUTION
The opportunity is to help a defined audience find, understand and obtain appropriate insurance through a better marketing and service process.
INDUSTRY PERSPECTIVE · MCKINSEY
McKinsey’s June 2021 discussion describes technology changing insurance distribution and customer service, including businesses focused on specific parts of the insurance process.
That supports the direction of this opportunity. It does not establish easy sales, individual earnings or an endorsement of Indiana Agency.
Read the industry perspective ↗We believe in people who want to build something. Bring your ideas, be willing to learn and put the next useful step into motion.
Start conversations. Follow up. Ask for introductions. The relationships you develop today can create opportunities later. Keep planting in good seasons and difficult ones.
A prospect changes their mind. A case does not work out. Learn what you can, make the adjustment and take the next useful step. One setback does not have to become your direction.
A good system helps you serve people well: clearer conversations, appropriate coverage and promises you keep. Put your principles into the way you work and the way clients experience your business.

BEFORE YOU DECIDE
This is a commission-only, 1099 insurance business opportunity. You build your own brand and marketing system. Licensed participants sell insurance, or discuss closing partnerships with agreed commission splits. There is no salary, hourly pay or marketing-service retainer.
We seek people who have already built online marketing and sales. You bring those skills; we provide product training, insurance processes and discussions about compliance and your marketing plan.
You can explore the opportunity before licensing. We cover licensing school when you join, approximately a $250 value. Your state exam and initial license cost is estimated at about $140. Confirm the requirements and fees for your situation. Selling requires the appropriate license, contracting and appointments.
For the B2C opportunity discussed, first-year commission is typically around 70% of eligible annual premium, with qualifying bonuses that may bring compensation near 100%. Rates and bonus eligibility depend on the product and contract; this is not a rate for every product. B2B compensation differs and is reviewed separately. Payment timing, personal chargebacks and renewals follow the applicable schedules. Income is not guaranteed.
You develop your brand and client relationships. Rights to renewal commissions vest according to each carrier’s agreement; vesting can be immediate, three years or longer. Review those agreements for vested renewal rights, ongoing conditions, servicing, client records and departure terms before joining. Indiana Agency evaluates carrier arrangements before adding them to its ecosystem.
Team opportunities and overrides are subject to qualification and the applicable agreement. We review sales results, customer service, business quality and how you work with people. In this opportunity, chargebacks from producers below you do not roll up to your team overrides. Your own sales commissions have separate chargeback terms.
Yes—we want you to build your branding. Carrier and product selection is discussed individually around your plan. Our team reviews content and ads against carrier and platform requirements. Carrier names, logos and product references may need approval; review your intended use before advertising.
Your ads, promotions and software subscriptions are your expense. We recommend HubSpot and E&O coverage. E&O, continuing education and license renewal requirements depend on your arrangement. Discuss required expenses before starting. We provide administrative staff at no cost and do not require purchases of third-party internet leads.
Qualifying carrier programs may offer benefits, trips and networking meetings with carrier-paid expenses. Program eligibility and exactly which expenses are covered must be reviewed. These opportunities are not automatic benefits of joining.
